EarthColor is excited to announce that we are joining the Green Suppliers Network (GSN), a program established to help U.S. manufacturers stay competitive and profitable while reducing their impact on the environment.
The intent of the Green Suppliers Network program is to identify operational efficiency opportunities. Participation in the GSN program is voluntary and includes a technical review which yields a set of confidential recommendations that, when implemented, serve to drive production efficiencies, environmental improvements, and cost savings.
EarthColor already implements lean manufacturing practices throughout our facilities, yet through our participation in the GSN program, we hope to further improve the efficiency of our operations and continue to reduce our environmental footprint.
The Green Supplies Network is a collaboration between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC). It is also an integral component of E3 — Economy, Energy, and Environment Initiative. E3 builds on and leverages the existing services of local, state, and federal government to help communities work with their manufacturing base to adapt and thrive in a new business era focused on sustainability.
