EarthColor has partnered with Two Sides, the fast-growing non-profit organization established to promote the responsible production, use and sustainability of print and paper.
“As a leader in sustainable print solutions, EarthColor’s commitment to the highest green manufacturing and product standards is a perfect match with Two Sides’ mission to promote sustainable business practices in the print and paper industry and to dispel misconceptions about the medium’s sustainability,” says EarthColor’s Director of Sustainability David Podmayersky. “With a focus on providing factual information from credible sources, Two Sides will help EarthColor expand our own efforts to educate our customers and other stakeholders about the economic, social and environmental benefits of print and paper.”
“Print and paper have a great environmental story to tell, and Two Sides is committed to spreading the word as our U.S. effort continues to grow,” says Two Sides’ President Phil Riebel. “It’s clear that print and paper will continue to be an considerable communications vehicle that will co-exist with electronic communication, so it’s important that we continue to educate people about the renewable nature, recyclability and other sustainability benefits of ink on paper,” he says. “It’s also important to let people know that print and paper are a vital part of our economy, supporting hundreds of thousands of jobs across the United States.”
EarthColor has been invited to be a sitting member on the Two Sides Sustainability Committee which offers opportunities for valuable discussion and interaction with industry peers on sustainability issues. In addition, EarthColor has presently undertaken the printing of Two Sides’ “Myths and Facts” brochure, which clearly outlines the sustainability of print and paper by dispelling many myths of the paper and print industry through carefully researched facts. The brochure will serve as a valuable resource to communicate with customers, employees and other stakeholders about our industry’s sustainability.
